We haven't done this for a couple of weeks and it seems like this week's wishlists are very specific. Mum wants the flawless Laura Mercier face and I want happy winter skin.
Katherine's Wishlist:
My skin has just started to realise that winter is upon us, so out come the dry skin busters. I read this article on Breakfast With Audrey the other day and want to try out some of the suggestions!
1 – QV Nuturing Night Cream ($18.99) – I love any products that are natural and fragrance free so this might be a budget buy if I need one this month!
2 – Innoxa Satin Sheen Foundation with SPF 30+ ($28.95) – I like the way this is described in the article as "this foundation feels like a tinted moisturiser, looks like a matte foundation, and leaves you with a healthy (not oily) glow". Sounds perfect, plus it has the highest SPF I've seen in a foundation. Definitely want to try this for summer.
3 – Jojoba Skin Refining and Brightening Face Mask ($59.95) – I just came across The Jojoba Company the other week and this could be the exfoliating product with brightening properties I've been searching for.
4 – Dermorganics Emergency Facial Remedy ($14.95) – Last year I was struck with horrifying eczema-like skin around my eyes and I wish I had known about this!! Will definitely be trying it out this year. I can't believe how inexpensive it is!!
5 – DermaVeen Intensive Hand Cream ($8.99) – I hate hand cream. Even when I moisturise the rest of my body after showering, I always wash my hands because I don't like the greasy feeling of moisturiser on my hands. This often leads to my hands suffering in winter but I think this specifically non-greasy cream might be worth a try!
I have been hunting for different sensitive and dry skin remedies for years and I can't believe how affordable some of the products I have found are. I'll be checking these ones out over winter, so stay tuned to see how I go. My poor face cannot have a winter like last winter!
Sue's Wishlist:
I've been reading The New Beauty Secrets: your ultimate guide to the flawless face by Laura Mercier's book and I want the Flawless Face!! So my wishlist is a bit Laura Mercier heavy this week:
1 – Laura Mercier Foundation Primer ($45) – A primer designed specifically for applying before using mineral foundation for flawless looking skin.
2 – Laura Mercier Silk Creme Foundation ($59) – Said to be the base for the flawless face, this foundation hydrates and protects skin whilst concealing fine lines
3 – Laura Mercier Secret Concealer ($45) – Specifically for the dark circles around the eye area
4 – Laura Mercia Secret Camouflage ($49) – A two-shade system to camouflage dark circles and imperfections
5 – Laura Mercier Invisible Loose Setting Powder ($68) – The height of luxury loose powder, containing the finest French 'cashmere' talc for a silky finish.
(Laura Mercier doesn't seem to have an Australia site, so the prices and links are from the Adore Beauty site)
What are you up to for the weekend? Do you have any beauty products high on your 'to buy' list?!
